If you like a thrill and want to get the shivers, then why not include this in your holiday this year? There are some creepy churches and macabre catacombs across the globe, so why not sample some of the list below?
Evora, Portugal – the church looks picturesque from the outside, but inside the royal church of st Francis, there are the remains of five thousand corpses in the consecrated chapel, and they decorate the inside, like prizes. A truly creepy fact is that two corpses, of an unknown man and a small child, dangle from nooses from the ceiling.
Port Arthur historical sites, Tasmania – the penal colony was once home to thousands of violent convicts, where they were subject to vicious floggings and isolation on darkness. There are often reposts of people seeing a ghost of a woman and her child.
